How to schedule posts that go out even with your computer off

A scheduled post goes out with your computer off if the scheduler stores it on a server: each network’s app, its web version or a cloud tool. What usually needs a machine running isn’t the post itself but the automations that react to what happens, like replying to comments.

Option 1: each network’s own scheduler

Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok let you schedule from their own tools. That works for one or two networks; with five, it means uploading the same video five times and checking five calendars.

Option 2: a tool that schedules on all of them

A social media management tool uploads the video once and delivers it to each network on time. What matters is where the post is stored: if it’s on a server, it goes out even with your machine off.

How it works in PilotControl

On Free, Desktop and Full, the video is uploaded when you schedule it and the post goes out on time even if you turn your computer off.
On Full, AI replies, message bots and automations also run on our servers all the time.
On Desktop, those automations run while the app is open and pick up what’s pending when you open it again.
Exception: the direct YouTube connection in the desktop app publishes immediately and doesn’t schedule.

Which plan to choose

If you only publish and schedule, any plan works, even Free. If you want AI to answer comments and messages around the clock without leaving a machine on, choose Full.
